- I tracked Livia Armstrong down in the library at Evergreen High School.

LIVIA: You want to know about my life... why exactly? I'm just a regular girl, trying to get through school unnoticed (she smiles shyly).

AD: You're Australian right? Can you tell me how you came to live in Evergreen, Colorado?

LIVIA: It's the accent isn't it - the only thing that ever draws unwanted attention. Fine... (she sighs) My mum likes to move around a lot. She's... special like that. We moved from Australia to San Francisco two years ago, and then moved again to Evergreen almost twelve months ago. Mum's the general manager of the Heirloom Inn Hotel, so we live onsite.

AD: You live in a hotel?

LIVIA: (Blushing) We live in the GM suite, one of the bungalows at the far end of the property.

AD: What's it like living in a hotel?

LIVIA: What's it like living in a home? (She blushes again and moves awkwardly in her seat) Sorry.
I've always lived onsite so I don't really know any different. It's okay sometimes, I guess. Having room service and housekeeping is kinda cool - no chores (laughs).

AD: How often do you move?

LIVIA: Hmmm... well, I think this is the twelfth school I've been to. (Pauses and smiles) I guess it's like having a parent in the military. Military kids move around a lot, don't they?

AD: What do think of Evergreen High School?

LIVIA: The same as any other really. I'll be glad when senior year is over with. Not long to go now.

AD: What do you do outside of school?

LIVIA: I work at the hotel. I'm saving up to have my '59 Chrysler Plymouth restored.

AD: You like vintage cars?

LIVIA: (Hesitating) I'd rather not go into it. Is that enough? Can I go now?

AD: Sure, unless there's anything else you'd like to share?

LIVIA: No, no, I'm good. Class, you know, (she shrugs) I can't be late. See ya.
