A bulked up, blond haired guy saunters into the formal lounge and throws a surf magazine on the coffee table.
GIL: G'day mate! (Smiling broadly, dimples appear as he pats my shoulder).
AD: You must be Gilbert?
GIL: Please, call me Gil.
AD: So you've just moved to Evergreen, I believe?
GIL: Yeah, my fam and I have just moved back to the US from Australia. Total bummer, dude! Radical waves Downunder. Ten foot swells, white sand beaches, a total paradise. But my cousin Evelyn's journey has brought us back to the States to this hick town - nowhere near the ocean. Man I miss the surf... but hey, it's not forever right?
AD: I guess. (His accent is American, yet you can tell he's adopted some Aussie mannerisms). You seem to have adjusted well to life in Australia?
GIL: Bloody oath! Warm weather, next to no rain, and killer waves. Snakes, croc's, sharks - what's not to love?
So, you wanna know about me do ya?
Well, I'm a freshman at Denver Uni, studying engineering. But really, I'm a jack of all trades. I designed this house for Rebecca. I scooped the blueprints for you to check out. Here, see.
AD: They're remarkable Gil. Rebecca obviously has a lot of faith in you.
GIL: Yeah she does, in all of us. Bec only ever see's the good in people. She's one incredible woman (he nods, smiling thoughtfully).
AD: What attracted you to study Engineering?
GIL: What really floats my boat is inventing gadgets. It's totally epic to create something from nothing. I've made some gadgets for my girl, Lily. Man, did she thank me! Sweeeet lovin!
Crap! I gotta go, she's waitin' for me. Check ya later. Out.
(I feel like a whirlwind has just circulated through the room as Gil rushes out).
Emery, you're up!(Gil's deep voice echoes through the house).
(I wait patiently, my head slightly spinning, wondering what just happened).
